Tomb Raider 2 Items

Hi! Here, you'll find some detailed information and pictures of the items that Lara finds and uses throughout Tomb Raider II. Read on, and gain knowledge.
Small Medipak

Small Medipak

This handy little package restores exactly half of Lara's health. You start out with one, and you'll find them scattered throughout the game. (Often on enemies that you've killed.) Use them wisely, don't use if Lara still has more than half her health, or you'll be wasting.

Large Medipak

Large Medipak

These fully restore Lara's health. You start out with one at the beginning of the game, and can find more. Only lose when Lara's health is bordering on dead. Don't be wasteful, as you might regret it later.

Flares

Flares

You start out the game with two of these. Hitting the slash key will light one when in game. If you're in a dark cave, or underwater area, you can light one, and it will restore lighting to the area. You can then find the wall switch, trapdoor, etc. you were looking for.

Secrets

Stone Dragon Jade Dragon Gold Dragon

In each level of Tomb Raider II, there are three secrets, the stone, jade, and gold dragon. Occasionally you'll find bonus items along with these artifacts. If you find all three in a level, then the third one you find will come with a large amount of extra weapons ammo, or an extra weapon, with ammo.

Keys

Keys

Keys can be found in almost every level of Tomb Raider 2. Most of the open doors (or trapdoors), although a couple deactivate traps or raise/lower bridges. To use them, go up to the lock, hit control, and select the key you want to use.

Other Items

Other Items

In different levels, you will find certain other important items for the game. Two of the most important are the Dagger of Xian (not pictured), and the Seraph. The Dagger of Xian is what you're searching for throughout the game. Legend has it that when you drive it into your heart, you acquire the power of the dragon. The Seraph is found in the The Deck level. Picking it up will end the level. It is used as the key to the exit in the Barkhang Monastery.
You will find these, and other items from time to time. They all do basically the same thing: open a door, or shut down a trap. (Or perhaps raise a bridge or destroy a barrier.)

Speed Boat

Speed Boat

Okay, so vehicles aren't exactly items that Lara can put in her inventory, but humor me. There are only two in Tomb Raider II, and so I really don't see a need for a separate page for the them.
The Speedboat is used in Venice, and for a small amount of time in Bartoli's Hideout. To climb on in, go directly up to it, and hit control. Once in, use the direction keys to move as normal. Use Alt and an arrow key to get out. You cannot shoot while on this, but this boat is super-powerful, and will take you places much faster than you can swim. You also need it later for a trap, but, you'll see.

Snowmobile

Snowmobile

This powerful vehicle is found in the Tibetan Foothills. You can mow over enemies with it, and you can use it to navigate obstacles, and move faster throughout the level. Controls are the same as the ones for the Speedboat. A model that you'll find later in the level comes equipped with powerful weapons. Enjoy.
